Madhya Pradesh Tourism has unveiled a unique, interactive Experience Centre at KidZania Mumbai and Delhi NCR, offering children a first-of-its-kind opportunity to explore the state’s natural beauty, culture, and heritage through immersive activities. The initiative is aimed at nurturing curiosity and responsible tourism values among the next generation.
Inaugurated by Shri Sheo Shekhar Shukla, Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture, Government of Madhya Pradesh, and Managing Director of the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, the experience centre introduces virtual adventures such as Jungle Safaris and River Rafting using advanced technology including VR, 3D visuals, motion sensors, and environmental effects. Children don safari jackets, participate in interactive quizzes, and take home personalized souvenir postcards and giveaways like themed diaries and stickers.
“This initiative brings the soul of Madhya Pradesh closer to children in a fun and educational way,” said Mr. Shukla, highlighting the state’s rich diversity in tourism from wildlife and rivers to cultural heritage and tribal traditions.
Mr. Tarandeep Singh Sekhon, Chief Business Officer, KidZania India, noted, “This collaboration is a landmark moment, as it’s the first time a state tourism board has introduced such an innovative concept for kids. It lays the foundation for lifelong travel interest and awareness.”
Ms. Bidisha Mukherjee, Additional Managing Director, MP Tourism Board, emphasized the centre’s role in holistic child development by enhancing psychomotor, cognitive, emotional, and social skills through engaging group experiences.
The event included a formal MoU exchange between MP Tourism and KidZania, followed by celebrations featuring a symbolic key handover, a cake-cutting ceremony, and a lively parade with mascots. Attended by families, media, and travel professionals, the launch marked a significant step in Madhya Pradesh’s effort to connect with future travellers and position itself as a family-friendly tourism destination.
