MakeMyTrip Expands Southeast Asia Focus Through Vietravel Partnership

MakeMyTrip has expanded its partnership with Vietravel Corporation to strengthen curated travel experiences across Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos, targeting the growing demand from Indian travellers for immersive multi-country holidays.

The collaboration builds on an earlier agreement signed in 2025 and will now focus on jointly developing customised itineraries, holiday packages and destination experiences rooted in local culture, cuisine and heritage across the Southeast Asian region.

According to the companies, the partnership aims to enhance access to authentic experiences while creating a stronger travel corridor connecting Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia for Indian tourists.

Commenting on the development, Jasmeet Singh, Chief Business Officer – Holidays & Experiences at MakeMyTrip, said Indian travellers are increasingly looking beyond conventional sightseeing and seeking deeper cultural engagement, food experiences and seamless regional travel.

He added that the expanded collaboration with Vietravel would help strengthen MakeMyTrip’s holiday packages portfolio by combining local destination expertise with curated on-ground experiences.

Representing Vietravel, Ngo Minh Quan, Deputy Director of the Inbound Department, said the Indian outbound market plays an important role in the company’s global growth strategy.

He noted that the partnership is designed to position Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia as more experience-driven and memorable destinations for Indian travellers, while also supporting sustainable tourism growth in the region.

The collaboration comes at a time when Southeast Asia continues to witness strong interest from Indian outbound travellers, particularly for short-haul international holidays offering cultural diversity, affordability and easy connectivity.
