MakeMyTrip has launched its next-generation GenAI-powered Trip Planning Assistant, ‘Myra,’ designed to transform the entire travel planning experience from discovery to booking and beyond through seamless, conversational engagement. Available in English and Hindi during its beta phase, Myra enables users across India including those previously deterred by language barriers to plan complex trips using natural voice and text interaction. Myra handles diverse travel queries such as destination suggestions, customized itineraries, budget hotel bookings, and route planning, delivering dynamic, personalized responses based on real-time availability and pricing.
Built on a sophisticated multi-agent AI framework, Myra integrates all major travel categories including flights, accommodations, holidays, ground transport, visas, and forex offering multimodal input like text, voice, images, and videos with continuous dialogue and post-sales support within a single interface. This innovative system bridges the gap between travel inspiration and confirmed booking, empowering users to complete their journey seamlessly in one conversational flow.
MakeMyTrip Co-Founder and Group CEO Rajesh Magow emphasized the initiative’s focus on reaching India’s heartland with accessible, intelligent travel solutions in multiple languages, catering to underserved customers. The company’s Group CTO Sanjay Mohan highlighted the ambitious in-house development of custom language models combined with scheduling and verification systems that operate in real time for a robust, scalable platform.
This launch follows MakeMyTrip’s pioneering integration of GenAI into its core booking systems in 2023 and builds on its suite of advanced features like Fare Lock, Zero Cancellation, and predictive train booking tools. Future enhancements will include advanced semantic search and AI-driven image/video interactions, enabling even more intuitive and personalized travel discovery.
With Myra, MakeMyTrip sets a new benchmark in AI-driven travel experiences, promising to simplify and elevate how millions of Indian travelers plan, book, and enjoy their journeys across the country and beyond.
