Qatar’s tourism landscape and its growing relevance for Indian travellers took centre stage during a recently conducted webinar organised by Mannai Holidays, Qatar’s leading Destination Management Company and part of Mannai Corporation QPSC, in collaboration with Red Dot Representations. The virtual engagement was specially curated for the Indian travel trade to deepen their understanding of Qatar as a versatile destination catering to both leisure and business travel segments.

Designed as an enabling platform for experienced travel partners, the webinar offered a comprehensive overview of Qatar’s evolving tourism products. Participants were introduced to the destination’s blend of luxury hospitality, rich cultural heritage, adventure offerings, world-class MICE infrastructure and compelling stopover experiences, positioning Qatar as an attractive choice for a wide spectrum of travellers.

Through a detailed virtual walkthrough, attendees gained insights into how Qatar seamlessly integrates modern infrastructure with authentic cultural experiences. The presentation highlighted the country’s expanding hotel portfolio, advanced convention and event facilities, and highly efficient connectivity, reinforcing its suitability for FIT travellers as well as large corporate and incentive movements.

The session also emphasised Qatar’s strategic advantage as a stopover destination, enabling Indian travellers to experience the country even during short layovers, thereby opening additional opportunities for travel planners to create innovative itineraries.

Sharing his perspective, N. M. Shafiq, General Manager, Mannai Holidays, noted that Qatar has successfully achieved a balance between global-standard hospitality and the preservation of its cultural identity. He reiterated Mannai Holidays’ commitment to supporting Indian travel partners with strong destination knowledge, reliable on-ground services and seamless operational support to enhance traveller experiences.

Prabhakar Kamat, Business Head, Red Dot Representations, underlined the objective of equipping the travel trade with practical and relevant destination insights. He stated that such focused engagements help travel professionals conduct more confident sales conversations and effectively promote Qatar across leisure, MICE and short-stay traveller profiles.

With India continuing to be a key source market, both Mannai Holidays and Red Dot Representations indicated plans to roll out more targeted trade engagement initiatives in the near future, further strengthening Qatar’s presence and visibility in the Indian travel market.
