Marriott International Appoints Kiran Andicot as Senior Vice President to Drive South Asia Growth

Marriott International has announced the appointment of Kiran Andicot as Senior Vice President for South Asia, a move that underscores the company’s focus on strengthening its leadership and expanding its footprint in one of the fastest-growing hospitality markets. In this expanded role, Kiran will oversee operations and development across Marriott International’s South Asia portfolio, aligning growth with operational excellence, accelerating hotel conversions and openings, and deepening partnerships with owners across the region.

With nearly 30 years of multi-disciplinary experience in hotel operations, consultancy, planning, feasibility, and development, Kiran has been an integral part of Marriott since joining its Development & Feasibility team in 2006. Over his 19-year tenure, he has been instrumental in driving the brand’s growth across India, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, and Bangladesh, signing more than 220 hotels. His leadership was particularly evident in India, where his team achieved a record signing of 42 hotels and 7,000 rooms in 2024, alongside a landmark partnership with Concept Hospitality to affiliate The Fern portfolio of 115 properties with Series by Marriott, significantly strengthening Marriott’s presence in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities such as Surat, Shimla, Jalandhar, and Coorg.

Rajeev Menon, President of Marriott International Asia Pacific excluding China, praised Kiran’s appointment, stating, “These accomplishments are a testament to Kiran’s deep understanding of the South Asia markets, strong owner relationships, and steady leadership. His expertise, supported by our experienced leadership bench, will position Marriott well for sustained growth in the region.”

Prior to Marriott, Kiran built his career with leading hospitality names, including IHCL and Oberoi Group in operations, followed by consultancy roles with EY and HVS, before joining Marriott in 2006. His appointment reflects Marriott International’s strategy of combining market expertise, operational excellence, and owner-driven partnerships to reinforce its position as the largest hospitality chain in India and a leader across South Asia.
