Marriott International to Open 200-Key Airport Hotel in Goa Near Manohar International Airport

Strategic signing strengthens Marriott’s presence in one of India’s strongest leisure and MICE markets

Marriott International has signed an agreement with the Sugee Group to develop the Goa Marriott Manohar International Airport Hotel, marking a significant addition to its growing portfolio in Goa. The 200-key hotel is planned within Western India’s first Aerocity, a mixed-use development that will integrate commercial spaces, retail zones, a golf course, and educational and training institutes.

Located just five minutes from Manohar International Airport, the upcoming hotel is positioned to serve both leisure and business travellers, with easy access to North Goa’s key tourism hubs including Anjuna, Baga and Calangute, while Panjim remains a comfortable 30-minute drive. The location is expected to benefit from rising air connectivity and growing demand for high-quality accommodation close to the airport.

The hotel is planned to feature 200 guest rooms and suites along with multiple dining options, including an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a patisserie, lobby lounge and pool bar. Wellness and recreation facilities are expected to include a spa, swimming pool, fitness centre and a dedicated kids’ club.

For meetings and events, the property is planned to offer approximately 1,000 square metres of conference and event space, including a grand ballroom and outdoor lawns, catering to corporate events as well as social gatherings. Positioned at the intersection of leisure, business and airport-led travel, the hotel is expected to play a key role in strengthening Goa’s evolving hospitality infrastructure.
