Millennium Hotels and Resorts has identified India as a key growth driver in its global strategy, signalling a sharper focus on one of the world’s fastest-growing outbound travel markets.
Senior leadership within the group has described India not merely as a source market, but as a “growth engine” powering demand across corporate, leisure, and MICE segments—highlighting the country’s rising influence in global travel flows.

According to Paul Er, India’s rapid post-pandemic recovery and sustained outbound momentum have positioned it among the most critical markets for international hotel chains.
“India is a relationship-driven market where trust and on-ground engagement matter far more than virtual interactions,” he noted, underlining a strategic shift from transactional business to long-term partnerships.
The group is increasingly aligning its approach to meet India’s dynamic travel ecosystem, where shorter booking cycles, evolving customer expectations, and diverse preferences demand agility and localised understanding.
With a portfolio of around 150 hotels across Asia, Europe, the United States, and the Middle East, Millennium Hotels and Resorts is leveraging its global footprint to capture a larger share of Indian outbound travel.
The company is also continuing its expansion trajectory, including upcoming developments in key international markets, as it positions itself to tap into India’s growing influence on global hospitality demand.
The move reflects a broader industry trend, where global hotel brands are recalibrating strategies to align with India’s emergence as a high-value, high-growth outbound market.
