Minor Hotels has announced its first Anantara brand signings in India, marking a significant step in its expansion strategy in the country. The group will introduce two landmark properties—Anantara Zanti Coorg Resort and Anantara Kolkata Hotel—bringing both a luxury resort and an urban hotel under the brand for the first time in India.
The Coorg property, expected to open in 2028, will be located in the Western Ghats and focus on immersive, nature-led experiences inspired by local culture and landscapes. Meanwhile, the Kolkata hotel, slated for 2032, will be part of the World Trade Center Salt Lake development and cater to the city’s growing demand for business and hospitality infrastructure.
These additions build on Minor Hotels’ growing presence in India following the launch of Anantara Jewel Bagh Jaipur in 2025. With a strong pipeline and a target of 50 properties in the next decade, the group is positioning India as a key growth market, driven by rising domestic travel and increasing demand for experiential luxury hospitality.
