In a landmark move to boost tourism ties between India and Morocco, the Morocco National Tourism Office (MNTO), in collaboration with the Outbound Tour Operators Association of India (OTOAI), successfully hosted an exclusive FAM Trip to Morocco from June 19 to 26, 2025. The 8-day experiential journey brought together 22 prominent Indian travel agents, two leading media professionals, and one travel influencer, with the President of OTOAI personally joining the tour. The trip was designed to offer a comprehensive and curated exploration of Morocco’s rich cultural heritage, iconic architecture, delectable gastronomy, and warm hospitality.
Kicking off in Casablanca, the itinerary featured visits to the awe-inspiring Hassan II Mosque and a scenic city tour. The journey continued through Morocco’s cultural gems including Rabat, Tangier, Chefchaouen, Fès, and Marrakech. Participants had the opportunity to experience Morocco’s Al Boraq high-speed train and explore UNESCO World Heritage sites, enhancing their understanding of the destination’s unique blend of tradition and modernity.
The group was hosted in some of Morocco’s most luxurious accommodations, including Four Seasons Casablanca, Fairmont Palais Tazi Tangier, and The Oberoi Marrakech. Daily activities included guided city tours, immersive cultural experiences, and culinary delights showcasing authentic Moroccan as well as Indian cuisine. A dedicated B2B workshop and cocktail networking evening in Marrakech allowed for productive exchanges between Moroccan tourism stakeholders and Indian outbound agents.
This initiative underlines Morocco’s growing appeal for Indian travellers across segments such as FIT, leisure, luxury, and cultural tourism. It also marked a significant step in encouraging group travel, future partnerships, and collaborative tourism development between the two countries. MNTO and OTOAI expressed heartfelt gratitude to all partners and participants for their enthusiastic involvement in making this FAM trip a remarkable success and a milestone in Indo-Moroccan tourism cooperation.
