National Tourism Day Celebrated in Kolkata with Focus on Inclusive Growth and Accessibility

The Enterprising Travel Agents Association, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism’s Eastern Region Office in Kolkata, organized a successful National Tourism Day event on 25th January 2025 at Hotel Park Prime, Kolkata. The event emphasized promoting tourism for inclusive growth, with a special focus on travel opportunities for specially-abled communities.

Key highlights included presentations by Wonderla showcasing their theme parks across India and Permis, a B2B visa company, discussing streamlined visa processes. A panel discussion on integrating specially-abled communities into mainstream tourism featured insights from Mr. Animesh Bhattacharjee of Behala Blind School, Mr. Avijit from Hotel Park Prime, Mr. Koushik Banerjee of Supreme Tours & Travels, and moderator Mr. Prabir Sen from Tibet Tours & Travels.

The event also included a session on the Nidhi Portal, raising awareness about the benefits of recognition as an approved tour operator by the Ministry of Tourism. Attendees, including travel agents, government officials, and industry experts, engaged in networking and strategizing to enhance tourism development in the region.
