Over ₹6 crore in assistance was distributed to 3,000 families, benefiting approximately 15,000 individuals. Beneficiaries, selected through a rigorous application and verification process, included those with mental and physical disabilities, long-term illnesses, cancer, and individuals excelling in academics and sports. Educational and medical assistance formed a significant portion of the support, with amounts ranging from ₹10,000 to ₹1,00,000 for individuals and ₹1,00,000 to ₹10,00,000 for community-focused organizations.
Transport facilities were arranged for beneficiaries, and 25 counters at the venue ensured a seamless distribution process with pre-distributed tokens. Volunteers played a pivotal role in organizing the event, ensuring smooth execution and minimal disruptions. The program also extended its support to organizations focusing on women’s empowerment, youth skill development, social transformation, and heritage restoration.
Initiated by Dr. K. Prakash Shetty, Chairman of MRG Group, the “Neravu” program has grown steadily since its inception, increasing its distribution amount from ₹1.25 crore in its first year to over ₹6 crore this year. The initiative’s impact is evident in the stories of beneficiaries who have achieved self-reliance and contributed back to society.
