A growing number of India’s new-age travel startups are moving away from building in-house backend systems, opting instead for shared technology platforms to accelerate scale and innovation. Reflecting this shift, TravClan has announced rapid adoption of its Volt API by fast-growing travel brands including Rimigo, 30 Sundays, The Tarzan Way and Jeto Vacations.
The trend highlights a structural change in how modern travel companies are being built. Traditionally, startups spent several months developing backend capabilities such as supplier integrations, booking engines, pricing logic and reconciliation systems—often delaying market entry and limiting agility. Volt’s shared infrastructure allows founders to bypass this phase and focus directly on customer-facing innovation.
AI-driven vacation planning platform Rimigo adopted Volt early in its lifecycle and raised $550,000 from Japan-based Reazon Capital within four months of launch. Since then, the startup has curated over 500 personalised international vacations, using Volt as its core backend.
“Winning travel companies stay sharply focused on customer value,” said Sahil Sharma, Co-founder & CEO, Rimigo, adding that Volt has enabled efficient scaling while allowing deeper investment in personalisation and experience design.
Curated travel brand 30 Sundays, which specialises in experiential journeys for couples, reported up to a five-fold improvement in operational efficiency, alongside strong growth over the past year. According to Kshitij Chaudhary, Co-founder, combining AI-led personalisation with a stable backend has helped the company balance scale with customisation.
Experiential travel startup The Tarzan Way recorded 300 percent year-on-year revenue growth, enabled by backend stability that allows rapid experimentation with new travel formats without operational disruption.
Commenting on the broader industry transition, Arun Bagaria, Co-founder & CEO, TravClan, said early-stage travel companies should not be burdened by infrastructure challenges. “Volt is designed to remove friction at the backend so founders can build differentiated products and scale efficiently,” he said.
Delhi-based experiential travel company Jeto Vacations also cited access to real-time inventory and structured pricing as a key growth enabler. “Volt has played a critical role in bringing operational consistency while supporting rapid expansion,” said Debayan Ghosh, Director, Jeto Vacations.
Through the Volt Hotel API, partner companies gain access to directly contracted properties, unified content mapping that eliminates duplicate listings, and integration with over 40 global suppliers through a single interface. The platform also enables seamless bundling of accommodations and experiences, supporting end-to-end travel planning.
