Oceania Cruises, renowned for its culinary excellence and destination-focused experiences, is set to launch its signature French restaurant, Jacques, aboard its newest ship, Allura™, debuting in mid-July 2025. Named after Jacques Pépin, the legendary chef and Oceania Cruises’ first Executive Culinary Director, Jacques is a celebrated dining venue already featured on the Marin and Rivier ships.
The restaurant will also debut aboard Allura’s sister ship, Vist, in October 2025, joining Oceania Cruises’ beloved dining venues such as the Polo Grill steakhouse, Italian restaurant Toscana, and pan-Asian eatery Red Ginger.
Frank A. Del Rio, President of Oceania Cruises, expressed his excitement: “Jacques Pépin is the cornerstone of our culinary philosophy, ‘The Finest Cuisine at Sea.’ Bringing Jacques to Allura and Vista reflects our commitment to delivering unparalleled dining experiences for our guests.”
Chefs Alexis Quaretti and Eric Barale, Oceania Cruises’ Executive Culinary Directors and Master Chefs of France, will collaborate with Jacques Pépin to refine classic menu offerings and introduce new dishes. Highlights include duck with a Grand Marnier-infused orange sauce, veal medallions with morel sauce, and vegetarian options, alongside classic desserts like Crêpes Suzette and profiteroles.
The dining experience at Jacques will feature tableside service for select dishes, such as beef tartare, and enhanced aesthetics with carefully curated crockery, glassware, and silverware, delivering an authentic Parisian bistro ambiance.
“Allura embodies Oceania Cruises’ future while honoring its rich culinary legacy,” said Del Rio. “Jacques’ presence on both Allura and Vista celebrates our dedication to gastronomic innovation and the art of fine dining.”
Guests can look forward to Jacques’ signature offerings and new creations, blending tradition with contemporary flavors, making their dining experience aboard Oceania Cruises truly unforgettable.
