OTOAI Delegation Meets Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat to Discuss Outbound Tourism and TCS Concerns

In a significant step towards strengthening dialogue between the travel trade and government, the Outbound Tour Operators Association of India (OTOAI) met with Hon’ble Union Cabinet Minister for Culture and Tourism, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat to address pressing issues impacting India’s outbound tourism sector. A key point of discussion was the Tax Collected at Source (TCS) policy, where the Minister gave his valuable time and attention, assuring the delegation that their concerns would be carefully reviewed. The meeting underscored the Ministry’s willingness to engage with stakeholders and support sustainable growth in India’s outbound travel industry.

During the meeting, OTOAI also extended a formal invitation to the Hon’ble Minister to grace the upcoming OTOAI Moscow Convention 2025 as the Guest of Honour, aiming to foster greater collaboration between the government and the travel industry. The association’s leadership, including Immediate Past President Mr. Riaz Munshi, Vice President Mr. Shravan Bhalla, General Secretary Mr. Sidharth Khanna, and Executive Committee Member Mr. Vineet Gopal, represented the delegation. The interaction marks a proactive initiative by OTOAI to advocate for policy reforms and strengthen ties with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
