OUTRIGGER Hospitality Group has announced the acquisition of Zeavola Resort, a premier beachfront property located on the northern tip of Thailand’s renowned Phi Phi Island. The resort will undergo a comprehensive renovation and rebrand to become OUTRIGGER Phi Phi Island Resort, a five-star barefoot-luxury destination set to reopen on October 1, 2025.
Situated along a secluded stretch of pristine white sand and surrounded by lush tropical scenery and the crystal-clear waters of the Andaman Sea, the revamped resort will feature 63 luxurious suites and villas. It will reflect OUTRIGGER’s hallmark hospitality ethos, blending relaxed island living with rich cultural experiences and eco-conscious practices.
“This expansion marks a major milestone in OUTRIGGER’s strategic growth across Asia Pacific,” said Jeff Wagoner, President and CEO of OUTRIGGER Hospitality Group. “Thailand is one of the world’s top travel destinations, and with our growing presence here, we’re excited to deliver exceptional beachfront experiences on Phi Phi Island.”
During the island’s shoulder season, the resort will temporarily suspend operations to allow for extensive upgrades to both private accommodations and shared spaces. The transformation aligns with OUTRIGGER’s commitment to creating immersive, sustainable island getaways for international travelers.
The new OUTRIGGER Phi Phi Island Resort will be the brand’s fourth operating property in Thailand, joining its award-winning locations in Koh Samui, Khao Lak, and Surin Beach in Phuket. The acquisition underscores OUTRIGGER’s long-standing dedication to the Thai tourism sector and its focus on delivering memorable beach escapes throughout the Asia Pacific region.
