Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj on February 5, where he will take a holy dip at the Sangam at around 11 AM and offer prayers to Maa Ganga, as confirmed by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
Maha Kumbh 2025, which began on Paush Purnima (January 13, 2025), is the world’s largest spiritual and cultural gathering, attracting millions of devotees from around the world. The grand event will continue until Mahashivratri on February 26, 2025.
As part of his commitment to preserving India’s spiritual and cultural heritage, PM Modi has consistently worked to improve infrastructure and facilities at pilgrimage sites. During his previous visit to Prayagraj on December 13, 2024, he inaugurated 167 development projects worth ₹5,500 crore, aimed at enhancing connectivity, amenities, and services for pilgrims and tourists.
The Maha Kumbh Mela, held every 12 years, is a sacred event where millions gather to take a holy dip at the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and mythical Saraswati rivers. PM Modi’s visit highlights the cultural significance of the festival, reinforcing its role in India’s spiritual legacy. Devotees and visitors are advised to stay updated on arrangements and security measures during this historic occasion.
