In an exciting new chapter of culinary innovation, Radisson Blu Plaza Delhi Airport has officially introduced Nikkei cuisine to the permanent menu of its acclaimed Thai and Pan-Asian restaurant, Soy x Neung Roi. This fusion of Japanese and Peruvian flavors, born from a rich history of cultural exchange, promises to redefine dining experiences in the capital.
The journey began with a successful three-day Nikkei pop-up in July 2024, hosted in collaboration with Issei, which introduced diners to the elegant fusion of Japanese minimalism and Peruvian zest. Buoyed by enthusiastic guest response, the hotel followed up with “Nikkei 2.0” in February 2025. The overwhelming popularity of these events led to Nikkei cuisine being permanently added to the restaurant’s offerings.
“Nikkei is not just a trend—it’s a global conversation on a plate,” says Ashwni Kumar Goela, Vice President Operations – Radisson Blu Plaza Delhi Airport & Area General Manager – Radisson Hotel Group, South Asia. “Our guests deeply resonated with the unique flavors and the cultural story behind every dish. Making it a permanent part of Soy x Neung Roi is a natural evolution.”
Nikkei cuisine, which emerged from the century-old migration of Japanese communities to Peru, is known for its delicate balance of clean Japanese techniques and vibrant Peruvian spices. Guests can now savor standout dishes such as Tuna Tiradito with citrus ponzu and jalapeño, Nikkei-style Sushi Rolls with Peruvian glaze and miso mayo, Char-grilled Chicken Skewers with anticucho marinade, and Corn Tempura with Huancaína Sauce, all presented with minimalist artistry and flavor depth.
“Our aim was to honour the soul of Nikkei cuisine while adding our own creative lens,” says Sreenivasan Govindarajan, Director Culinary at the hotel. “It’s a celebration of cultural harmony—where culinary precision meets emotional resonance.”
The Nikkei menu is now served as part of the Soy x Neung Roi menu during lunch (Wednesday to Sunday) and dinner (Saturday to Sunday), with exclusive chef’s table experiences and tasting menus planned to elevate the journey further.
With the addition of Nikkei cuisine, Soy x Neung Roi continues to push culinary boundaries, offering guests an unforgettable exploration of flavors that span from Thailand and Pan-Asia to the extraordinary crossroads of Japan and Peru. This bold step reinforces Radisson Blu Plaza Delhi Airport’s status as a leader in innovative and culturally rich dining experiences in India.
