Rajesh Agrawal Takes Charge as Chhattisgarh’s New Tourism, Culture & Dharmaswa Minister
In a cabinet expansion move, Rajesh Agrawal, first-time MLA from Ambikapur, has been sworn in as Chhattisgarh’s Minister for Tourism, Culture, Religious Trusts & Endowments.
Agrawal, who won the Ambikapur seat in 2023 by defeating then Deputy CM T.S. Singh Deo, was earlier with the Congress before joining the BJP. His new portfolio, previously managed by senior leaders, marks a significant delegation of cultural and tourism sectors.
As the new tourism and culture minister, Agrawal is expected to focus on developing Chhattisgarh’s heritage sites, religious circuits, and festivals, while boosting tourism infrastructure and community-driven initiatives to strengthen the state’s cultural economy.
