
The historic city of Gwalior is set to host the Regional Tourism Conclave on August 29–30 at Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya, aiming to position the region as a key hub for cultural, heritage, and experiential tourism. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will preside over the conclave, joined by Union Minister of Communications and Minister for Development of North Eastern Region Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia, Speaker of Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, and Minister of State for Tourism, Culture, and Religious Trusts & Endowments Shri Dharmendra Singh Lodhi. Based on the theme “Timeless Gwalior: Echoes of Culture, Spirit of Legacy”, the conclave seeks to attract fresh investment in tourism and hospitality while promoting the Gwalior–Chambal and Sagar divisions as emerging destinations. According to officials, the event will see the signing of MoUs, agreements, and Letters of Award (LoAs) for projects in hotels, resorts, wellness, and eco-tourism, creating new avenues of employment for the local community. A special exhibition will showcase Madhya Pradesh’s destinations, hospitality brands, handloom and handicraft, adventure offerings, and cultural heritage. Two high-level panel discussions will also be held, focusing on branding Gwalior’s cultural and musical legacy on the global map and exploring new tourism dimensions through heritage, luxury stays, destination weddings, and experiential travel. With investors, tour operators, tourism entrepreneurs, and hospitality stakeholders participating, the conclave is expected to give a strong push to regional tourism growth and sustainable development.
