
In a significant boost to air connectivity between India and the Middle East, Royal Jordanian Airlines has launched a new nonstop service between Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM) and Amman’s Queen Alia International Airport (AMM), commencing June 19, 2025. The new year-round route will operate four times a week—on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays—using the modern Airbus A320neo aircraft.
This strategic route marks a milestone in strengthening bilateral ties between India and Jordan, offering seamless travel options and expanding access to over 50 destinations across the Middle East, Europe, North Africa, the United States, and Canada. The launch not only enhances trade and tourism between the two nations but also positions Jordan as a compelling, easily accessible destination for Indian travelers.
With the new direct service, Indian tourists can now explore Jordan’s rich cultural heritage, natural wonders, and warm hospitality in just five hours. From marveling at the ancient rose-red city of Petra—one of the Seven Wonders of the World—to floating in the mineral-rich waters of the Dead Sea or experiencing the cinematic desert landscapes of Wadi Rum, the Kingdom of Jordan offers an unforgettable escape for every kind of traveler. Indian nationals booking tourist packages on this route will also benefit from visa-free entry to Jordan, further simplifying travel.
