Saudi Tourism Authority (STA), in association with TBO Academy, recently held a focused destination interaction in Hyderabad, engaging over 130 travel agents from the region to strengthen awareness and saleability of Saudi Arabia as an outbound destination for Indian travellers.
According to participating agents, the session highlighted Saudi Arabia’s core tourism circuit covering Riyadh, Jeddah and AlUla, with emphasis on MICE, entertainment, heritage and culture-led travel. The discussion also introduced emerging destinations such as Taif, Aseer and Al-Baha, which are gaining traction for their pleasant climate, scenic landscapes and local experiences.
Improved air connectivity from Hyderabad through multiple airline options and flexible visa choices including eVisa and visa-on-arrival were cited as key enablers for easier trip planning. Agents were also updated on Saudi Arabia’s year-round events calendar and the growing demand for premium and experiential travel within the Kingdom.
The session concluded with an overview of TBO Academy’s training and product support, aimed at helping agents convert destination knowledge into sales. The Hyderabad interaction reflected STA’s continued focus on working closely with regional travel trade to drive outbound travel to Saudi Arabia.
