
Goa recorded a strong surge in international tourist arrivals during the peak holiday season with multiple charter flights landing from key global source markets, reinforcing the state’s growing international air connectivity.
On December 30, 2025, a Nordwind Airlines charter flight from Moscow arrived in Goa carrying 360 passengers, followed by another Nordwind charter from Yekaterinburg on December 31, bringing 373 passengers. Adding to the inflow, Fly Arystan operated a charter flight from Astana on December 30, carrying 176 passengers, underlining sustained demand from the Central Asian market.
Welcoming the arrivals, Tourism Minister Rohan A. Khaunte said the continued charter operations from Russia and Central Asia reflect growing international confidence in Goa as a preferred holiday destination, adding that strengthening air connectivity remains central to the state’s strategy for promoting quality tourism.
Director of Tourism Kedar Naik noted that charter services play a vital role in sustaining international arrivals, stating that the department is working closely with airlines, airport authorities, and tourism stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and expand Goa’s presence across both established and emerging markets.
