The Singapore High Commission has announced significant updates to the visa application process for applicants submitting through New Delhi and Kolkata, effective immediately. A key change includes the introduction of a mandatory video verification process conducted by Authorized Visa Agents (AVAs) such as Jetsave. This step aims to enhance document authenticity and ensure applicant consent.
During the video call, applicants must confirm the sub-agent through whom they applied, provide consent for the video call and screenshot capture, verify if they personally filled Form 14A and if all details are correct, and allow the AVA to review the form and verify travel document details. Refusal to participate or grant screenshot permission will result in automatic rejection of the visa application.
Additionally, new documentation rules are now in place. Self-employed applicants must submit the last two years’ Income Tax Returns, while salaried applicants are required to provide the last three months’ salary slips. All applicants must also furnish confirmed hotel bookings and a valid email ID as part of their submission.
Visa fees have also been revised—applicants are advised to contact the relevant visa processing team for the updated charges. These changes are aimed at streamlining the visa process and improving application accuracy. Travel partners and applicants are urged to comply with the new requirements to avoid delays or rejections.
