
Sunil Kumar, President of the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI), has been re-elected as the Global President of the United Federation of Travel Agents Associations (UFTAA) for the 2025-2026 term. His leadership will be instrumental in steering UFTAA’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations, marking 60 years since its establishment in 1966.
At the UFTAA Annual General Assembly held on March 27, 2025, in Monaco, a new Board comprising members from eleven countries was elected. The Board includes:

- Mr. Cetin Gurcun (Turkey) – VP Tourism
- Mr. William D’Souza (Canada) – VP Finance
- Ms. Varsha Ramchurn (Mauritius) – Director
- Dr. Joseph Kithitu (Kenya) – Director
- Mr. Duminda Kuruwitaarchchi (Sri Lanka) – Director
- Mr. Joe Borg Oliver (Malta) – Director
- Ms. Mariegel Manotok (Philippines) – Director
- Mr. Moustafa Khataw (Tanzania) – Director
- Mr. Bernard Borry (Switzerland) – Director
UFTAA, headquartered in Monaco, is a global confederation representing travel agencies and tourism stakeholders. The organization advocates for industry interests, fosters international networking, and promotes sustainable tourism.
With 2026 marking UFTAA’s Diamond Jubilee, the new Board is set to introduce expansive initiatives and innovative programs to enhance global travel industry collaboration.
