Taj Mysore: IHCL Expands Luxury Hospitality in Karnataka

Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) is set to redefine luxury in Karnataka with the upcoming Taj Mysore, a 141-key luxury hotel nestled at the foot of Chamundi Hill and overlooking the iconic Mysore Palace.

Spread across 5.03 acres, Taj Mysore blends Indo-Saracenic architecture with modern luxury, offering panoramic views of Mysuru’s cultural landmarks, including the Mysuru Zoo and the Mall of Mysore. The hotel will feature multiple dining options, a spa, gym, swimming pool, and an expansive 11,000 sq. ft. banqueting space, catering to both corporate and social events.

Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice-President, Real Estate & Development, IHCL, highlighted Mysuru’s evolution into a key hospitality hub, driven by the manufacturing and IT sectors. She emphasized that Taj Mysore strengthens IHCL’s presence in Karnataka, reaffirming its commitment to luxury hospitality.

Developed in partnership with DM South India Hospitality Pvt. Ltd., Sushen Mohan Gupta, Director of the Group, expressed confidence that Taj Mysore would elevate tourism and offer world-class hospitality experiences.

Mysuru, often called Karnataka’s cultural capital, attracts domestic and international tourists with landmarks such as Mysore Palace, Chamundi Hill, and Brindavan Gardens. With this new addition, IHCL now boasts 23 hotels in Karnataka, including 10 under development, reinforcing its position as a leader in the luxury hospitality segment.
