Following the 28 March earthquake with its epicenter in Myanmar, tremors were felt in parts of Thailand, including Bangkok. The Thai government swiftly responded by monitoring the situation, assessing the impact, and conducting urgent safety inspections of buildings, public areas, and transportation networks.
Authorities have confirmed that the situation has returned to normal, with no damage reported at tourist attractions or businesses. Daily activities continue as usual, and travel across the country remains safe.
Minister of Tourism and Sports, Mr. Sorawong Thienthong, reassured visitors that Thailand remains a secure destination. “We are committed to ensuring the safety of tourists and residents. Those in need of assistance can contact the Tourist Police at 1155 or the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) at 1672 Travel Buddy service,” he stated.
With full government support in place, Thailand continues to welcome travelers with confidence.
