Thomas Cook (India) Limited and SOTC Travel have announced the launch of special direct flights from Ahmedabad to Bhutan, starting in April 2025. This groundbreaking initiative establishes a direct air link between Gujarat and Bhutan, eliminating the need for connecting flights via Kolkata or Delhi. The move aims to provide travelers with a seamless and convenient travel experience, addressing a significant gap in the outbound travel market.
Recognizing Gujarat’s strong demand for international travel, the six-night itinerary offers unique Bhutanese experiences, including traditional archery, riverside lunches in Punakha, cultural performances, and bonfires. To cater to the preferences of Gujarati travelers, authentic Gujarati cuisine, including vegetarian and Jain options, will be prepared by dedicated chefs stationed in Bhutan. Additionally, the tour will include the assistance of Gujarati-speaking tour managers for added comfort.
Bhutan, known for its breathtaking landscapes, vibrant culture, and sustainability practices as the world’s first carbon-negative nation, offers visitors iconic monasteries, lush valleys, and unique attractions like hot-stone baths.
