Thomas Cook (India) Limited has signed a 24-month strategic partnership with the Moscow Project Office for Tourism & Hospitality Development to enhance tourism and business MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) opportunities between India and Moscow. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Rajeev Kale, President & Country Head, Holidays, MICE, Visa – Thomas Cook (India) Limited, and Evgeny Kozlov, First Deputy Head of the Office of the Mayor and the Government of Moscow, Chairman of the Moscow City Tourism Committee.
The collaboration focuses on strengthening cooperation through knowledge exchange, best practices, and innovative travel products tailored for Indian travelers. Thomas Cook India and SOTC Travel will leverage their expertise in leisure and corporate MICE tourism through product development, destination training, marketing communications, and consumer promotions to boost travel from India to Moscow.
Highlighting Moscow’s unique cultural and business appeal, the initiative aims to attract a diverse range of Indian travelers, including leisure tourists and business professionals, from major metropolitan cities as well as emerging Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets. Rajeev Kale emphasized the growing appetite among Indian travelers for unique destinations, stating that Moscow offers a rich mix of architecture, art, culture, gastronomy, and vibrant nightlife. He noted that this partnership underscores Thomas Cook India’s leadership in the travel industry and commitment to innovation.
Evgeny Kozlov expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with India’s leading travel service provider, announcing plans for a special presentation of Moscow as a tourist destination with a focus on the MICE segment. He also mentioned that Thomas Cook India has shown interest in organizing a familiarization trip for its clients to Moscow this spring. Kozlov described the partnership as a promising step in strengthening tourism ties between India and Moscow.
