Thomas Cook India & SOTC Partner with Korea Tourism to Boost Indian Travel to South Korea

Thomas Cook (India) Limited and SOTC Travel have signed a 24-month strategic partnership with the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) to enhance South Korea’s visibility in the Indian market. The collaboration focuses on Special Projects to promote leisure, business, and MICE tourism, leveraging Thomas Cook and SOTC’s extensive network and expertise.

The MoU was signed by Myong Kil Yun, Regional Director – India & SAARC Countries, KTO, Rajeev Kale, President & Country Head – Holidays, MICE, Visa, Thomas Cook India, and SD Nandakumar, President & Country Head – Holidays & Corporate Tours, SOTC Travel. The agreement includes knowledge exchange, innovative travel product development, and destination marketing to attract Indian travelers.

With the global Hallyu wave driving interest in K-beauty, K-pop, and Korean cuisine, South Korea offers a rich blend of luxury, culture, and wellness experiences. Beyond Seoul and Busan, emerging destinations like Jeju Island and Gangwon Province present immersive wellness and relaxation opportunities.

KTO’s Myong Kil Yun emphasized the goal of increasing awareness of South Korea among Indian travelers by leveraging Thomas Cook and SOTC’s market reach. Rajeev Kale highlighted the partnership’s role in developing unique experiences and boosting South Korea’s appeal as a travel hotspot. SD Nandakumar stressed the opportunity to tap into both metro and Tier 2 and 3 Indian markets with curated travel products.

This partnership aims to position South Korea as a top choice for Indian tourists, driving sustained tourism growth.
