Marking International Women’s Day, TIRUN Travel Marketing has announced the launch of Second Sail, a career comeback initiative aimed at empowering women who are looking to re-enter the workforce after taking a break.
The programme is designed for women who stepped away from their careers due to life circumstances such as marriage, motherhood, relocation, or caregiving responsibilities. Through this initiative, the company aims to create flexible and structured opportunities within India’s growing cruise tourism ecosystem while encouraging greater economic participation of women.
Under Second Sail, participants will be onboarded as freelance cruise specialists, working remotely through a flexible, commission-based model. The programme includes a structured training curriculum covering cruise fundamentals, portfolio knowledge, sales techniques, customer engagement, and booking and servicing protocols. Training will be delivered through recorded learning modules, live interactive sessions, and continuous mentorship support.
To help participants build sustainable careers, TIRUN will also provide access to a dedicated community platform featuring product updates, sales insights, and peer networking opportunities. In addition, qualified sales leads will be shared by the company, enabling participants to build scalable income streams through a transparent commission structure that supports independence and long-term growth.
Commenting on the initiative, Varun Chadha, CEO of TIRUN, said the travel industry thrives on relationships, empathy, storytelling, and service—qualities that women bring in abundance. He added that through Second Sail, the company aims to create a meaningful pathway for talented women to re-enter the workforce with confidence and flexibility.
In its first year, TIRUN aims to onboard 100 women as freelance cruise specialists. High-performing participants may also gain the opportunity to transition into the company’s Preferred Partner network, where they can further grow their careers and mentor future participants.
With India’s cruise tourism market witnessing rapid growth, the launch of Second Sail positions TIRUN as a pioneer in inclusive workforce development, aligning business expansion with social empowerment while strengthening the country’s cruise travel ecosystem.
