The 37th IATO Annual Convention is going to be held from December 16 to 19 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The theme of the convention is: Inbound Tourism- What Lies Ahead!
Ravi Gosain, Vice President, will be the chairman of the convention along with Sunil Mishra-Hony. Prateek Hira, chairman of IATO Uttar Pradesh Chapter will be the co-chair. An announcement for the same was made by Rajiv Mehra, President of Indian Association of Tour Operators, at the 40th Annual General Meeting held in New Delhi recently.
“We expect about 900-1,000 delegates from all over the country to participate, which will include senior officials from the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and States, industry leaders, tourism and hospitality professionals, travel trade media. An added attraction for this year’s convention would be the post-convention tours to Ayodhya and Varanasi. There are five such tours being organised in various sectors. This year, we expect larger participation from state governments as every state is keen to reinstate inbound tourism to their respective states,” said Mehra.
“During the three-day convention, there will be deliberations on burning issues during the business sessions being finalised and we will have experts in all fields,” he added.
