Workshop on developing sustainable tourist destinations organised in New Delhi

A regional workshop on developing sustainable and responsible tourist destinations was organised recently at The Ashok Hotel, New Delhi. While giving his welcome address, Rakesh Kumar Verma, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Tourism highlighted the importance of focusing on sustainable tourism practices. He stressed the need to ensure that tourism development is carried out in a responsible manner. Tourism departments including Chandigarh, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh market their presence at the event.
