The coastal city of Vizag came alive today with the opening of the much-awaited Holiday Expo – Visakhapatnam, one of South India’s most vibrant travel and tourism exhibitions. The two-day event has drawn enthusiastic participation from travel enthusiasts, tour operators, and global destinations — making it a key meeting ground for the tourism fraternity and holidaymakers alike.
The expo was inaugurated with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony by Smt. Ekta Kabra of Rajasthan Tourism, marking the formal opening of the exhibition. The event also witnessed the presence of notable guests of honour — Mr. K. Vijaymohan, President of the Tours and Travels Association of Andhra (TTAA); Mr. Pavan Kartheek, President of the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Andhra Pradesh; and Mr. Ravi Kumar, President of the Andhra Pradesh Event Management Association.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Dilip Biswas, Director of Holiday Expo, said,
“Visakhapatnam has emerged as one of India’s most promising tourism markets, attracting both leisure and business travellers. Through Holiday Expo, we aim to create a dynamic marketplace that encourages new travel ideas, partnerships, and memorable experiences for both visitors and the industry.”
The exhibition features an extensive showcase of tourism products — from destinations, hotels, and airlines to cruises and travel technology companies. With strong participation from state tourism boards and private exhibitors, Holiday Expo offers an excellent platform for travellers to discover new holiday opportunities and for the travel trade to strengthen business networks.
This year’s edition features leading participants including Rajasthan Tourism, Jammu & Kashmir Tourism, Tamil Nadu Tourism, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, along with prominent travel operators, resorts, and hospitality brands from across India and abroad. Visitors can avail special deals on domestic and international holiday packages, exclusive airline offers, and cruise promotions during the event.
The Holiday Expo – Visakhapatnam runs from 7th to 8th November 2025 at RVR Convention Hall, Ram Nagar, Daspalla Hills.
