Turkish Airlines, renowned for offering world-class travel experiences, has introduced an innovative amenity kit collection titled the “UNESCO Türkiye Series.” Inspired by six iconic UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Türkiye—Nemrut, Göbeklitepe, Cappadocia, Ephesus, Ani, and Troy—the kits celebrate the nation’s rich cultural legacy. The collection also features four unique Turkish marbling (ebru) designs and three traditional carpet-rug motifs, blending heritage with modern aesthetics. Currently available in Business Class on flights lasting 5-8 hours, tailored versions will be introduced for Economy Class passengers on flights exceeding eight hours starting mid-January.
Developed in collaboration with the Turkish National Commission for UNESCO, the kits combine centuries-old Anatolian artistry with contemporary design. Each set includes luxurious hand and body lotion and lip balm by the premium fragrance brand Ex Nihilo. Demonstrating a commitment to sustainability, Turkish Airlines has used eco-friendly materials for items such as socks, eye masks, and toothbrushes, with approximately 80% of the materials being recycled or biodegradable, including cornstarch-based components.
M. Akif Konar, Chief Operations Officer of Turkish Airlines, highlighted the airline’s dedication to sustainability and cultural preservation, stating: “With the UNESCO Türkiye Series, we not only provide our guests with a memorable flight experience but also highlight Türkiye’s deep-rooted cultural heritage. This collection represents our vision to merge the millennia-old history and art of Anatolia with contemporary travel comforts.”
Through the UNESCO Türkiye Series, Turkish Airlines seeks to enhance the travel experience while sharing Türkiye’s historic and cultural values with the world. These thoughtfully curated kits serve as both practical amenities and memorable keepsakes, allowing passengers to connect with Türkiye’s vibrant past. This initiative underscores Turkish Airlines’ role as a global cultural ambassador, showcasing Türkiye’s heritage while setting new standards in aviation excellence.
