Vietjet named amongst the world’s safest airlines for 2025

Vietjet, Vietnam’s leading new-age carrier, has once again been recognized as one of the world’s safest airlines by AirlineRatings, a global authority on airline safety and product ratings. Maintaining its prestigious seven-star safety rating—the highest available—since 2018, Vietjet has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to passenger safety and operational excellence. Ranked among the top 10 safest budget airlines globally for 2025, alongside renowned carriers such as Ryanair, easyJet, and Frontier Airlines, Vietjet continues to uphold world-class safety standards for its passengers and crew.

With a technical reliability rate of 99.7%, Vietjet operates a modern fleet of fuel-efficient Airbus aircraft, including ten new additions in 2024, bringing its total fleet to 115. The airline serves over 170 routes, connecting Vietnam to India and various international destinations. Sharon Petersen, CEO of AirlineRatings, praised the airline’s achievements, noting that Vietjet operates the youngest fleet in Vietnam and some of the newest aircraft in the Asia-Pacific region.

Vietjet’s commitment to safety is further reflected in its Vietjet Aviation Academy (VJAA), an International Air Transport Association (IATA)-certified training center that prepares skilled aviation professionals. As the airline expands its global network, it continues to recruit pilots and cabin crew to meet growing demand.

Pioneering air travel between Vietnam and India, Vietjet connects key Indian cities, including New Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Kochi, with Vietnam’s largest cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang. With its expanding route network and budget-friendly transit options, Vietjet makes it easier for Indian travelers to explore Vietnam and beyond.
