Vietjet, Vietnam’s dynamic new-age carrier, has entered a strategic partnership with Airways Aviation, a global leader in aviation education, to train a new generation of pilots to international standards. The signing ceremony took place in Finland, in the presence of Vietnam’s General Secretary To Lam and senior government and industry representatives from both countries.
Under the agreement, Airways Aviation will collaborate with Vietjet Aviation Academy (VJAA) to implement pilot training programs across Europe that meet global benchmarks. The courses, including Multi-crew Pilot Licence (MPL) and Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) programs, will adhere to regulations set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), **European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), and the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV). These initiatives are designed to cultivate highly skilled, globally qualified pilots to support *Vietjet’s international expansion and long-term growth.
Currently employing over 9,000 staff from 60+ countries, Vietjet operates a robust domestic and international network across the Asia-Pacific. The airline continues to enhance its flight network, attract top talent, and offer world-class services. With India emerging as a key market, Vietjet has strengthened its presence, connecting Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Kochi to Vietnam’s major destinations, including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang. Indian travelers can also enjoy seamless connections to Australia, China, Japan, South Korea, and other Asia-Pacific destinations via Vietnam.
VJAA, an IATA-accredited training partner, has trained nearly 400,000 aviation professionals—including pilots, flight attendants, engineers, and dispatchers—helping to shape a skilled workforce for the global aviation industry. Meanwhile, *Airways Aviation brings over 45 years of experience and a strong presence across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia, delivering internationally recognised flight training programs.
