Global luxury and experiential travel network Virtuoso has unveiled its 2025 Virtuoso Cruise Icons, recognizing top-performing advisors in the cruise industry. Announced on March 11, this prestigious designation is awarded to advisors who excel in luxury cruise sales, with 185 advisors from 13 countries receiving the honor—marking a 27% increase from 2024.
The Virtuoso Cruise Icon program highlights the top 1% of the network’s cruise sales professionals, showcasing their expertise and influence. Cory Hagopian, Virtuoso’s senior vice president for global member and partner sales, praised the honorees, stating, “The 2025 Virtuoso Cruise Icons set an extraordinary standard in their field. This distinction elevates their standing with our partners and reinforces their industry prominence with clients, serving as a badge of honor they can wear with pride.”
Since its inception in 2019, the Virtuoso Cruise Icon program has grown by an impressive 363%, expanding globally in 2023 and driving substantial sales increases. From 2023 to 2024 alone, Virtuoso’s preferred supplier cruise production saw a 45% surge, particularly in the US and Canada.
The program provides Icons with exclusive benefits, including quarterly collaboration sessions, networking opportunities, and a private dinner during Virtuoso Travel Week. Additionally, affiliated advisors gain access to over 450 select cruises annually through the Virtuoso Voyages program, which includes onboard hosts and exclusive amenities valued at up to several thousand dollars per couple.
Beyond industry recognition, Virtuoso Cruise Icons enjoy unique travel experiences, such as the 2024 inaugural season of PONANT EXPLORATIONS’ Le Commandant Charcot voyage through Canada’s St. Lawrence River. Hosted by Samuel Chamberlain, CEO of PONANT EXPLORATIONS Americas, this exclusive journey took Cruise Icons through breathtaking polar landscapes and cultural landmarks from February 22 to March 6.
With its growing influence and exclusive offerings, the Virtuoso Cruise Icon program continues to set new standards in luxury travel, positioning its advisors at the forefront of the industry.
