Delhi/Bhopal: The World Book Fair was inaugurated on Saturday at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi. The fair, which runs from February 1 to February 9, features books and publications from Madhya Pradesh’s Tourism Department, Department of Culture, Archaeology Department, and Swaraj Sansthan, available for sale.
On this occasion, Mr. Shiv Shekhar Shukla, Principal Secretary of Tourism, Culture, Religious Trusts, and Endowments Department, and Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, stated that Madhya Pradesh’s participation in the fair provides an excellent opportunity to showcase the state’s rich heritage, historical landmarks, and tourist destinations. He emphasized that through books, readers will gain in-depth knowledge about the state’s tourist spots, cultural legacy, and historical monuments, which could potentially boost tourism in Madhya Pradesh.
Madhya Pradesh’s stall at the World Book Fair features a variety of unique and rare books from different departments, which are receiving great appreciation from readers and researchers. This event is expected to give national and international recognition to Madhya Pradesh’s tourism. Additionally, these books will help tourists learn more about the state’s religious and historical sites, further benefiting the tourism sector.
Apart from books on historical and religious sites, works of renowned Madhya Pradesh authors are also available at the stall. Special books on wildlife sanctuaries, Ujjain, Bundelkhand, Satpura, Bhopal, Indore, and Damoh, along with a Madhya Pradesh tourist map, are also attracting visitors.
