Yas Waterworld Yas Island Unveils Exciting Expansion with 20+ New Rides and Attractions in Abu Dhabi

Yas Waterworld Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, the Middle East’s premier waterpark, has officially opened its much-anticipated expansion, introducing the thrilling new zone, “Lost City”, and elevating the park’s total offerings to over 60 world-class rides, slides, and attractions. Spanning 13,445 sqm, the new area builds on the park’s original storyline, The Legend of the Lost Pearl, inviting visitors to dive deeper into an adventurous, immersive experience unlike any other in the region.

The launch was celebrated with a grand opening ceremony on June 30, attended by HE Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, Director General of Tourism at the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi, and Dr. Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, Group CEO of Miral, along with VIPs, influencers, and media personalities.

The expansion brings over 20 new experiences, catering to all age groups and adventure levels. Highlights include Al Falaj Race, the region’s first dueling tube raft ride offering fast-paced competition; Bahamut’s Rage, an adrenaline-pumping log flume adventure; and Al Sahel Junior, the region’s first mini zero-gravity boomerango ride designed for young thrill-seekers. Family attractions such as Mataha Madness and Sadaf Swirl deliver group fun with raft rides that twist, spin, and surprise at every turn.

Other new features include Al Mafras, a desert-themed water slide with a splash landing; Red Dunes, a twisty aqua tube for younger guests; and Dawwama Junior, a mini version of the iconic vortex ride. A new dining venue also complements the upgraded guest experience, ensuring comfort and convenience for all-day fun.

With this expansion, Yas Waterworld reaffirms its position as the region’s leading family entertainment destination, offering a rich blend of adrenaline, storytelling, and innovation to create unforgettable water adventures for guests from around the world.
