
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced that the upcoming Noida International Airport at Jewar will be inaugurated next month by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Addressing members of the Indian diaspora in Singapore, the Chief Minister said the Jewar airport is set to become the largest airport in India and will function as a major hub for both passenger and cargo operations. He added that Uttar Pradesh now has the highest number of airports in the country, underlining the state’s expanding aviation infrastructure.
Adityanath described the Jewar facility as a strategic logistics and connectivity centre expected to boost trade, travel and regional economic activity.
During his two-day visit to Singapore, the Chief Minister also met Prime Minister Lawrence Wong to discuss bilateral economic cooperation. According to official statements, Singaporean companies are increasing investments in Uttar Pradesh across logistics, connectivity and infrastructure sectors.
The visit resulted in Memorandums of Understanding worth ₹6,650 crore being signed with Universal Success Group for group housing, a logistics park and a data centre in Uttar Pradesh. Officials said the proposed projects are expected to generate over 20,000 jobs.
