YOTEL Launches First Hotel in Japan with Grand Opening of YOTEL Tokyo Ginza

Global hospitality disruptor YOTEL has officially entered the Japanese market with the opening of YOTEL Tokyo Ginza, marking a significant milestone in its Asia-Pacific expansion. Located in Tokyo’s iconic Ginza district, the hotel celebrated its grand launch on 9 June with an immersive event themed “YOTEL to the World: Non-Stop,” highlighting the brand’s signature fusion of smart design, tech-forward experiences, and global connectivity.

The opening party welcomed over 200 guests, including YOTEL and Frasers Hospitality executives, media, influencers, and partners, offering them a multi-sensory journey through city-themed rooms reflecting YOTEL’s presence in destinations like New York, Bangkok, and Singapore. Guests experienced YOTEL’s hallmark space-saving features like the SmartBed™, innovative storage, and mood lighting, while installations like “Midnight in Manhattan” and “Ginza Game Room” brought global travel and local culture together.

YOTEL Tokyo Ginza introduces the brand’s bold “Non-Stop” ethos to Japan, offering a new hotel experience that blends convenience, comfort, and tech efficiency in the heart of Tokyo. Highlights of the evening included a traditional Japanese drum performance and a symbolic Kagami Biraki sake barrel ceremony, led by Shinya Ogawa (General Manager, YOTEL Tokyo Ginza), Panote Sirivadhanabhakdi (Group CEO, Frasers Property), Hubert Viriot (CEO, YOTEL), and Eu Chin Fen (CEO, Frasers Hospitality).

The celebration continued at the hotel’s stylish first-floor bar and restaurant, Komyuniti, with global street food, signature cocktails, and a lively DJ performance by Matcha and Una, creating a vibrant Ginza-meets-global nightlife vibe.

Commenting on the launch, Hubert Viriot, CEO of YOTEL, said: “YOTEL Tokyo Ginza is a landmark addition to our global portfolio. This hotel embodies our mission to redefine urban stays with innovative design and value-driven luxury. It sets the stage for further expansion in Japan.”

Eu Chin Fen, CEO of Frasers Hospitality, added: “This is our first ground-up hospitality project in Japan. YOTEL’s distinct brand offering and efficient model align with our growth strategy in high-demand markets, and we believe this venture will set new standards in Tokyo’s hotel scene.”

To celebrate the launch, YOTEL Tokyo Ginza is offering up to 30% off stays booked via yotel.com until 30 September 2025, including a welcome drink for two and flexible cancellation options. This limited-time offer is available exclusively to users in Japan, Singapore, Canada, and Australia.

YOTEL now operates 23 properties globally, with three distinct brands—YOTEL (urban hotels), YOTELPAD (extended stays), and YOTELAIR (airport hotels). The brand continues to challenge hospitality norms with smart, efficient, and design-forward accommodations aimed at modern, mobile travelers.
