Tourism Minister of Goa, Shri Rohan A. Khaunte, launched OYO’s Accelerator Program in the state to support first-generation hoteliers in scaling their operations and achieving sustainable profitability. At a ceremony held in Panaji, he handed over cheques totaling INR 25 lakhs to five beneficiaries of the program: Roshan Oscar Abraam Lorena from Panjim, Ajay Singhal and Akhil Gupta from Calangute, and Mohammad Bakir Ali from Madgaon.
As part of the initiative, OYO plans to add over 500 hotels and create more than 5,000 jobs across north, central, and south Goa within the next year. The Accelerator Program provides small hotel operators with mentorship, access to advanced technology, dedicated relationship managers, and financial assistance. Hoteliers can also leverage OYO’s network of over 15,000 corporate accounts and 10,000 travel agents to expand their customer base and increase profitability.
The initiative aligns with OYO’s goal of growing its premium hotel portfolio in India, including brands like Townhouse Oak, OYO Townhouse, Collection O, and Capital O. Shri Rohan Khaunte highlighted the program’s alignment with Goa’s vision for sustainable tourism, emphasizing its role in helping small businesses scale up while preserving the state’s charm and heritage.
OYO’s COO, Varun Jain, expressed excitement about partnering with Goa’s hoteliers, citing proven success in other states where similar programs have significantly boosted occupancy rates and guest satisfaction. Beneficiaries like Roshan Oscar Abraam Lorena expressed gratitude, noting that the program provided essential tools and resources for business expansion, enabling him to focus on delivering superior guest experiences.
OYO has also enhanced its technological offerings to support hotel partners. The revamped Co-OYO platform allows operators to design and launch promotional campaigns to increase revenue, while the AI-powered OYO 360 onboarding tool enables properties to go live on OYO’s platform within 30 minutes, ensuring seamless visibility across all channels.
