BLS International JMD Shikhar Aggarwal Praises Budget 2025 for Tourism Growth and Visa Reforms

Shikhar Aggarwal, Joint Managing Director of BLS International, has welcomed the Union Budget 2025, highlighting its transformative approach to India’s tourism sector. He praised the government’s strategic partnerships and policy reforms, calling them a “visionary leap forward” in positioning India as a global travel hub.

Aggarwal emphasized that the development of 50 iconic tourist sites in collaboration with state governments will significantly enhance India’s appeal as a premier destination. He also expressed optimism about the government’s focus on streamlining visa processes and the expansion of medical tourism under the ‘Heal in India’ initiative, aligning with BLS International’s expertise in visa and consular services.

“The extension of MUDRA loans to homestays and the harmonized scheme for hotels will empower local entrepreneurs while ensuring standardized, high-quality hospitality infrastructure. This is a critical step to support the growth of both inbound and domestic tourism,” Aggarwal noted.

He also welcomed the special focus on Buddhist circuits and spiritual tourism, stating that it opens new avenues for niche travel experiences. With an expanded visa service network, BLS International is well-positioned to facilitate the growing demand for religious and cultural tourism.

Commending the government’s holistic approach, Aggarwal highlighted the role of public-private partnerships in driving economic empowerment through tourism. He stated that these measures will attract global travelers while reinforcing India’s position as a hub for cultural, medical, and sustainable tourism.

BLS International reaffirmed its commitment to supporting this transformative agenda by enhancing accessibility and connectivity for travelers through innovative, tech-driven solutions.
