Madhya Pradesh Unveils ₹4,468 Crore Tourism Investment Opportunities at Global Investors Summit 

Madhya Pradesh, under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, has emerged as a hotspot for tourism investment, securing proposals worth ₹4,468 crore at the Global Investors Summit (GIS). The state’s Tourism Summit highlighted its vast potential, with Union Tourism Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat emphasizing that tourism will contribute over 10% to India’s GDP by 2047. Dr. Yadav reiterated the state’s commitment to enhancing tourism infrastructure, connectivity, and visitor experiences, including affordable air travel and free ambulance services for Ayushman Card holders. 

Madhya Pradesh’s unique blend of wildlife tourism, cultural heritage, and eco-conservation sets it apart. With thriving tiger reserves, cheetah sightings near villages, and urban tiger encounters, the state is a leader in wildlife tourism. Actor Shri Pankaj Tripathi, the state’s brand ambassador, praised MP’s beauty and urged domestic tourists to explore its offerings, announcing his family’s upcoming visit. 

Key investments include cruise tourism, film production, luxury resorts, and water parks. Notable proposals include ₹1,960 crore from Indian Hotels Company Ltd. for new hospitality units, ₹450 crore from Oberoi Group for Rajgarh Palace, and ₹300 crore from Amazon Prime and Zee5 for film production. Six MoUs were signed to boost women’s safety, adventure tourism, and cultural preservation, including initiatives like ‘Pink Toilets’ in Orchha and new trekking routes by IndiaHikes. 

The state’s investor-friendly policies, streamlined approvals, and focus on sustainable tourism were highlighted by Principal Secretary Shri Sheo Shekhar Shukla. Panel discussions with industry leaders like Padma Shri Ajeet Bajaj and Rohit Khosla explored MP’s potential as a national hub for adventure and luxury tourism. With its rich heritage, wildlife, and strategic initiatives, Madhya Pradesh is poised to become a benchmark for inclusive and sustainable tourism growth.
