Dubai International (DXB) Gears Up for Eid Travel Surge with 3.6 Million Passengers Expected

Dubai International Airport (DXB) is preparing for a significant surge in passenger traffic during the Eid travel peak from March 26 to April 7, with over 3.6 million guests expected to pass through its terminals. The airport anticipates a daily average of 276,000 travelers, with April 5 projected as the busiest day, expecting 309,000 passengers.

Eid Week Departures to Rise by 19%

Departures during Eid week are set to increase by 19% compared to the past month’s weekly averages, reflecting a strong seasonal demand. This rise is driven by spring school holidays and high travel demand to key VFR (Visiting Friends and Relatives) markets, including India, Pakistan, and the UK, alongside a surge in leisure travel to destinations like Sri Lanka, Türkiye, and Italy.

Smart Navigation & Enhanced Accessibility

To enhance the passenger experience, Dubai Airports is encouraging travelers to use DXB Express Maps, a real-time wayfinding tool that allows guests to scan a QR code from any flight information screen to locate gates, explore dining and shopping options, and find nearby services effortlessly.

DXB has also ramped up its accessibility services for People of Determination (PoD) with clearly marked routes, dedicated support staff wearing Sunflower pins, and a special Assisted Travel Lounge in Terminal 2.

As DXB gears up for one of the busiest travel periods, passengers are advised to plan ahead and make use of the airport’s digital tools for a seamless travel experience.
