Kerala is set to host India’s first-ever Wedding and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) Conclave from August 14 to 16 in Kochi, positioning itself as a premier global destination for wedding and corporate tourism. Organized by the Kerala Travel Mart (KTM) Society in collaboration with the State Tourism Department, the event will serve as a B2B networking platform aimed at driving integrated tourism development in the state.

Tourism Minister Shri Mohamed Riyas announced that over 400 buyers 360 from India and 40 from abroad along with 65 sellers from the wedding and MICE sectors have already registered. The conclave’s inaugural session will be held at Grand Hyatt, Bolgatty Island on August 14, followed by business meetings and exhibitions at Le Meridien on August 15 and 16.
Shri Riyas emphasized Kerala’s strong post-pandemic tourism rebound, noting that the state conducted over 1,000 destination weddings in the past year. With its scenic landscapes, cultural heritage, world-class infrastructure, and excellent road connectivity, Kerala offers immense potential as a MICE and wedding tourism hub. The government is also focusing on enhancing homestays, PWD rest houses, and guest houses to further attract tourists.
The conclave will showcase key wedding destinations such as beaches, backwaters, and hill stations, alongside training workshops, expert-led seminars, and exhibitions featuring luxury resorts, photographers, floral designers, catering services, and bridal brands. Buyers will also explore various locations across Kerala, including Munnar, Kumarakom, Kovalam, Thrissur, Wayanad, and Bekal.
With the theme ‘Center Stage Kerala’, the event aims to boost tourism revenues and socio-economic growth by connecting global event planners with Kerala’s hospitality ecosystem.
