Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB) has been honoured with the prestigious Best State Tourism Board Award at the India Travel Awards 2025, held at Le Meridien, New Delhi, on September 9. The award was conferred by Union Minister for Tourism and Culture, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, recognizing Madhya Pradesh’s outstanding contribution to innovation, sustainability, and excellence in the tourism sector.
Expressing pride in the achievement, Shri Dharmendra Singh Lodhi, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Tourism, Culture, and Religious Trusts and Endowments, said the award is a symbol of the people’s trust and the rich cultural heritage of Madhya Pradesh. He highlighted that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the state has made tourism a key driver of growth, employment, and self-reliance, while striving for global recognition of its heritage, natural wealth, and traditions.
Shri Sheo Shekhar Shukla, Additional Chief Secretary and Managing Director of MPTB, credited the success to the team’s vision and collective efforts. He emphasized that the focus of MPTB goes beyond creating new destinations—it also works to empower women, strengthen local economies, preserve cultural traditions, protect natural heritage, and promote sustainable development.
