Vietjet Expands India-Vietnam Connectivity with New Airbus A330, Fleet Reaches 121 Aircraft

Vietjet has strengthened its growing international network with the addition of a brand-new Airbus A330 widebody, bringing the airline’s total fleet to 121 aircraft across the group. The latest milestone highlights Vietjet’s commitment to boosting operations between India and Vietnam, especially during the upcoming festive season and Diwali holiday, when travel demand is expected to soar. The newly inducted aircraft will be deployed on Vietjet’s India-Vietnam routes as well as services to Australia, Japan and Kazakhstan, ensuring passengers enjoy enhanced comfort and a modern inflight experience. Currently, the airline operates 10 direct routes from Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kochi, Hyderabad and Bengaluru to Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City, positioning itself as a major connector between India and Vietnam.

The new A330, featuring Vietjet’s vibrant red-and-yellow livery with a symbolic golden silk ribbon, is powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engines that deliver both performance and fuel efficiency. This addition reflects the airline’s broader strategy of expanding its international footprint while keeping sustainability and advanced technology at the core of its operations. With more than 400 new aircraft on order from Airbus and Boeing through 2030, Vietjet is steadily building one of the youngest, most modern fleets in the region. The airline continues to focus on safe, comfortable, and memorable journeys for travelers worldwide while creating long-term value for stakeholders and supporting global connectivity.
