Air India Expands Network with New Halwara–Delhi Route Starting May 2026

Air India has announced the addition of Halwara (Ludhiana) to its domestic network, marking a significant boost in connectivity for Punjab’s industrial hub.

Starting 15 May 2026, the airline will operate twice-daily flights between Delhi and Halwara, deploying its A320 family aircraft. With this move, Air India becomes the first carrier to initiate commercial operations from Halwara, opening new travel opportunities for passengers in Ludhiana and nearby regions.

The newly introduced schedule has been strategically planned to ensure smooth same-day international connections via Delhi. Travelers will be able to seamlessly transit through the same terminal to major global destinations across the United Kingdom and Europe, including London, Birmingham, Rome, Milan, and Paris. Passengers can also benefit from single-ticket bookings with through-checked baggage, simplifying the overall travel experience.

Speaking on the development, Chief Commercial Officer Nipun Aggarwal highlighted that the new route aims to enhance global accessibility for Punjab’s travelers, making international journeys more convenient and efficient.

With this expansion, Air India continues to strengthen its domestic and international network, bringing greater connectivity and ease of travel to emerging regional markets.
