Goa Tourism Showcases New-Age Experiences at Malaysia Roadshow, Strengthens Global Outreach

The Department of Tourism, Government of Goa, successfully finished its exclusive roadshow in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, obtaining a solid response from the travel trade and boosting its visibility in the Southeast Asian market. Goa’s updated tourist vision, immersive marketing strategies, and a variety of cutting-edge experiential options designed for today’s international travelers were all highlighted at the event.

Led by Director of Tourism Shri Kedar Naik, the Goa delegation included GTDC General Manager (Marketing) Shri Gavin Dias, top officials and industry representatives. The roadshow connected Goa with top Malaysian tour operators, travel partners and hospitality stakeholders, offering new avenues for partnership. The attendance of MATTA President Shri Nigel, Malaysia Tourism Director General Shri Datuk Manoharan, and First Secretary of the Indian High Commission Dr. Vivekanand enhanced the event even more.

Hon’ble Minister for Tourism Shri Rohan A. Khaunte stated that Goa is rapidly growing as a worldwide destination driven by innovation, culture and sustainability. He added that the Malaysia roadshow gave a great opportunity to exhibit Goa’s revitalized vibrancy shaped by ethical and regenerative tourism, while establishing international collaborations that enhance the State’s global presence. Director of Tourism Shri Kedar Naik highlighted the favorable response from Malaysian travel trade members, stating that Goa now provides a variety of experiences ranging from entertainment and wellness to luxury and curated cultural engagements.

The roadshow showed Goa’s iconic festivals, enhanced air connections, rising hotel infrastructure and an expanded portfolio of tourism offerings matched with its forward-looking, experience-driven strategy. With a strong focus on regenerative tourism, Goa is presenting itself as a destination that blends cultural richness with modern offers for discriminating tourists.
The Department of Tourism expressed confidence that the Malaysia roadshow will lead to meaningful partnerships and greater bilateral tourism connections, marking a key milestone in Goa’s continued worldwide outreach to engage priority international markets and extend its tourism footprint.
